Many of those who get tattoos later regret them. For years, people had little recourse and existing removal techniques were invasive (requiring surgery) and painful, but that has changed. Laser treatments for tattoo removal using the Revlite laser offer a solution by gently erasing and diminishing the appearance of unwanted tattoos with a very low risk of scarring.Contact Us to Schedule a Consultation
Laser tattoo removal uses an intense beam of light to significantly lighten or completely remove your tattoo without harming the surrounding healthy cells. The treatment time and sessions vary on the size and color of the tattoo, but multiple treatments will be required in each case. However, with several unregulated tattoo inks being used, it is impossible to predict the degree of removal on any tattoo since the depth and amount of ink used is not known. Many tattoos done with newer inks are not completely removable.
Possible side effects might include redness, swelling and tenderness of the treated area immediately following treatment. An antibacterial ointment and a dressing will be applied to the area right after treatment. There is the chance of some pinpoint bleeding associated with the treatment. The treated area should be kept clean, although the treated area should never be scrubbed.
