Treatment
The results from Voluma are immediate. Voluma contains lidocaine to numb pain and is injected deep in the dermis on top of the cheek bones. Voluma contains a modified hyaluronic acid derived from a naturally occurring complex sugar. The hyaluronic acid allows for the gel to flow more easily and consistently. It also contains lidocaine to numb pain during treatment.
Recovery
Most side effects are mild or moderate and may last between 2-4 weeks. The most common side effects include: redness, pain, tenderness, firmness, swelling, lumps or bumps, bruising, itching and discoloration. Minimize strenuous exercise and exposure to prolonged heat within the first 24 hours following treatment.
