Excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) affects millions of people in the world. It affects children and adults and is often present to some degree in most teenagers. Many experience embarrassment due to their hands always being wet, their feet being wet leading to odor and athlete’s foot, as well as staining their clothes under the arms and sometimes in the groin.

What are the treatments?
Our physicians are experienced in treating hundreds of patients with this difficult skin condition. We usually start with pure, strong prescription topical antiperspirant medications. If not successful, there are pills to decrease the excess sweating. Some patients opt for injections of Botox into the areas of sweating. This treatment can last up to 6 months and is almost painless.
